Global Positioning System

The first stage in the making of any map is to gather the data. We have access to the very latest in satellite technology which allows us to locate our position to centimeter accuracy. This is stored on a ruggedised computer while out in the field before being transferred to a pc back at the office.

The images shown here illustrate the data when first collected and opened in MapInfo™ on the PC.

We then send the data to the MAC where it is styled according to client requirements.
(See: - Cartography). Using this process all the maps produced are © Mapping Company Ltd, this gives our clients piece of mind in knowing that they are not infringing any other organisation’s copyright.

The final map can be supplied in a variety of formats on CD or downloaded from the Download area of this website.
